It’s not just a song or a music video, but a tool to change the way we view and treat our homeless population. We are but one community and when we live as such we will glean the necessary tools to solve homelessness and empower our brothers and sisters to self sufficiency. My People On The Streets are some of the most resilient and courageous people I know. I want to thank them for allowing us to include them in this video. We hope that we’ve honored you and that your voices and faces will reach the souls of our viewers and inspire the changes needed to correct the approach to solving homelessness.

Bobby Gentilo – Engineer, Co-producer, Guitar, Right Coast Recording.
Bobby is an international award-winning producer, musician , and recording artist, and good friend. I’ve been recording with him for 20 years and knew that this song needed his talent and love. He’s so busy touring and recording, that it took almost a year to get into the studio with this project, It was worth the wait, I am thrilled and grateful for the love he put into this project! -DC

Beatrix “Trixie” Greiner – Wurlitzer and Hamond Organ, Supporting Vocals
Thirty years ago, both of our bands put out our first albums right about the same time. Trixie is a fantastic musician both live and so efficient and creative in the studio. She has been a continuous doner to “Hand Up Partners” since its inception. I am so grateful to have her in my life and her talent on this project! -DC

Ed Toth – Drums
Ed has been drumming for the Doobie Brothers Band for the last 20 years was doing work at the studio and happened to be available for this session. He was a pleasure to work with and really leaned in to the song to give it everything it needed. Now he’s back touring all over the world. I’m glad he was available. -DC

Mike Bitts – Bass
Mike is a great human being and one of the most talented and in demand bassists around. I’ve been very fortunate to have shared the stage with him for the last 20 years in D.C. & Co. This is the only two chord song that I’ve ever written and I felt awkward to ask him in to do something so simple, but Bobby assured that he would add magic to it; and he did. -DC

Bobby and his studio are very busy and he was trying to squeeze us in between scheduled projects. I have about 2 days’ notice for a Monday evening session. I was trying to get members of a local church choir but couldn’t get them together in time. So, I reached out to some of the folks that have been thrilling me over the years and they all said yes! The kindness, creativity and talent by all, produced one of the most magical, goosebump filled recording sessions I’ve been a part of, and Bobby was able to capture that magic onto the recording. I am forever grateful to all!
The D.C. & Co. Impromptu Choir
Rose Hudson – Rose has been thrilling Central, PA audiences for years with her unmistakable power-house vocals. From Blues, Jazz, Gospel, to Rock & Opera she does it all and does it well.
Rose has been jumping in with D.C. & Co. whenever she’s in the area, forever, she’s a good friend and a huge talent. I can recognize her voice from a block away. So glad she brought it to this project! -DC

Mike Lyons – Whether performing solo or with his band “All Mixed Up” Mike has a welcoming, honesty to his approach that makes you lean in and feel like you’re a part of the show.
Mike is a good friend and a great performer. I brought him in to provide the folky harmonies in the early part of the song. Thanks Mike -DC

Ceasrar Westbrook – For four decades Ceasar has been entertaining Central PA audiences with his soulful lead vocals and harmonies and now, sounds better than ever with his current high-energy power-house band, “Bump City”.

Don Hodgen – Coming out of retirement to lend his vocals to this project, Don had his first band in high school and continued fronting many popular bands until the resent break up of the ever popular “Pocket Full of Soul”.
Don’s voice, first amazed we when I was just a grade school kid, seeing him perform at a nearby park dance with “Custers’ Last Band” and I’ve been in his audience whenever I can ever since. I was so glad when he said yes to putting his talents on this project. -DC

Beatrix “Trixie” Greiner – Trixie came in before the vocalist that night at 5:30 to record the Hamond B3 part and warned me she had to leave by 7; when the vocals were supposed to start, because she teaches school in Baltimore the next morning. When she saw who was coming in to sing, she stayed around and sang and added creative input with this choir until after 9 pm. I promise that the magic that we ended up with, is the natural accumulation of each individual and the love, kindness, talent and creativity toward each other and this project, with Bobby Gentilo conducting it like the maestro that he is! -DC https://www.facebook.com/beatrix.greiner.3
